Colorado Mountain Art Gallery announces its Featured Artists for March 2020

Georgetown, Colorado  – Colorado Mountain Art Gallery, located at 406 6th Street in Georgetown, Colorado, is proud to announce two of its artists to be featured during the month of March 2020 at the gallery.  Gelinde Dittrich and Mary Francis, both members of this art co-operative gallery, have been selected for this honor.

Gelinde Dittrich  – Artist & Designer

Growing up in the Austrian Alps, and currently living in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, Gelinde Dittrich has always had a love of nature and wildlife.  Gelinde is a self taught, natural born artist with over 30 years of experience. Her passion for design and painting, combined with her love of wildlife and nature, inspired her to design a line of unique and beautiful hand-painted artistic home décor, furniture and accessories.  “Mountain Lodge,” and “Sophisticated Rustic” can best describe her design style.  She is a multi-talented, very creative artist and designer.  Please visit our site often for the latest releases of Gelinde Dittrich Designs.   The possibilities with Gelinde are limitless!

Mary Francis – Pastels and Fused Glass Jewelry

Although a scientist by training and profession, since childhood I’ve been fascinated with the arts. Growing up, I experimented with any and all arts and crafts media, even to the point of harvesting yucca and spiderwort to make my own jute and natural dye. As an adult I’ve worked in a number of media including earth and polymer clays, fused glass, watercolor and pastels. I must admit that I had a love-hate relationship with pastels initially, but they quickly became an affair of the heart and the center of my artistic devotion. With their rich and brilliant hues and velvety textures, I strive to capture the mood and drama of the moment.  View Mary’s work here.

Colorado Mountain Art Gallery is a cooperative with a wide range of artists including jewelry, pottery, sculpture, paintings, photography, woodworking, glassworks, fiber arts as well as gift items such as cards and prints.  It is open 7 days a week, depending upon the weather, and is staffed by member artists. Come in and chat with the artists, share what you may be looking for in original art, and know that each piece was hand-crafted in Colorado!
